long covid
I got COVID one time and was left with asthma symptoms and the stamina of a lame horse. It was garbage. I hope it will go away one day.
What I hate about it most is my close relatives and colleagues all being completely blasé about it. The fact that folks get this is well documented, though evidence is still a bit spotty about really long-term effects and especially their resolution.
In short please be careful. Maybe you don't care about yourself or have never thought about or been taught the horror of long-term disability or premature death, but some people are. Perhaps that can be enough for you. It would be a better world if it was.
